Things are tense. January 2025 Newsletter

There’s a delicate balance between striving for better and enjoying the moment. To stoke the hunger for more, while being present with what is.

I have audaciously massive goals.

I’ve been dealt some blows that felt very much like setbacks - betrayal, illness, and all.

Not to mention everything going on around the world.

But I also have so much good in my life.

I get to do yoga with my Dad and Erez every week. I have a dog who survived a near-fatal brush with a chronic disease, and is now healthier than ever. I enjoy freedom in how I craft my days, and organize my life.

Whether major catastrophes or minor inconveniences, I always find that rooting myself in the good is the best remedy.

Some days I feel so overwhelmed by the bad that I crumble into a pool of self pity (getting stuck in the past). Other days I feel so singularly-focused on my next milestone that I disengage from everything and everyone around me (getting pulled into the future). But the best days are those where I manage to stay perfectly present.  On those days my creativity overflows with abundance, my days feel rich, and I actively savor each moment.

Goldilocks, but make it business.

Or maybe I’m just listening to too much Michael Singer.

Now, onto January’s rundown:

Current Read:

This year, I want to read more books that make me say “just five more minutes!” And luckily, I kicked this year off with an engrossing read. It has adventure, wisdom, history, and wonder. Plus, the writing is delightfully entertaining. You’ll learn, you’ll laugh, you’ll wince, and you’ll be inspired. Highly highly recommended!

Spring Cleaning:

My favorite project management tool just keeps getting better. We started using ClickUp almost 6 years ago, and every update makes me love it more. I confidently rely on ClickUp to manage my YouTube channel, client projects, personal goals, and more. Do I still use a paper planner because I’m a weirdo like that? You bet! But does this help my team collaborate, stay on track, and maintain 100% on time delivery? Absolutely.
