Wow. November 2024 Newsletter

Right around one year ago I made a decision that changed my life. I committed to uploading 1 video every week. And I did it - rain or shine, confidence or none in sight.

One year later, and:

  • I can watch and listen to myself without cringing.
  • I’ve finally done the thing I spent over five years too scared to do.
  • I’ve reconnected with people from all over the world.
  • I hit 2,000 subscribers.
  • I’m SO CLOSE to being monetized.
  • I have sponsors.
  • I’ve flopped and pressed ahead, over and over and over again.

And this is only the beginning.

So as we approach the season of gratitude, I’d like to show some of my own. I’m grateful for the opportunity to share with you - here in this newsletter, on my YouTube channel, LinkedIn, podcasts, stages, and in real life. I’m grateful for your support and your feedback.

And I’m also grateful to me. For doing the hard and scary thing despite the million and one compelling excuses.

I also wish the same for you. I hope that one year from now you’ll be able to look back with the satisfaction and pride that you faced the challenge. It doesn’t have to be big, and maybe it’s not even scary. But it’s that thing you feel in your gut that you want to do and somehow always find a way not to.

If you want some personal accountability, you can even reply back to this email and let me know what it is.

Let’s do hard things together.

And now, onto November’s rundown:

Current Read:

This is one of the best books that I’ve read this year. If you know me at all, you know that I find psychology endlessly fascinating. Simultaneously gripping story and treasure trove of knowledge, this makes for an interesting dive into a rarely-explored topic. I highly recommend this book, which would also make for a great companion during your holiday travels.

Favorite Tool:

If you’re creating video or audio of any kind, this tool is a must-have. From simple cleanup to correcting content-killing mistakes, this has quickly risen to the top of my tool stack. And I feel like I’ve only scratched the surface of what you can do with this.
